摘要

Abstract

Based on analysis of field data, the characteristics of water and sediment transport and evolution of erosion and deposition in the Xiaobeiganliu reach of the Yellow River are discussed in the paper.It is found that the river channel experienced silting in flood periods and scouring in non-flood periods.The erosion and deposition had close relationship with the incoming runoff and sediment load.Besides, a model based on BP neural networks has been developed to calculate the scouring-silting quantity and gives the most economical water volume for sediment transport.
