Abstract
Objective To investigate the status of permanent tooth caries of schildren in Chancheng district of Foshan city to provide scientific bases for prevention and treatment on caries. Methods Based on guideline for 3 rd national oral health survey, a multistage equal-sized and simple random sampling survey was applied in Chancheng district school children of Foshan city. Results The permanent tooth caries prevalence rate was 4.96％ in 7-year-old age group,12.19％ in 9-year-old and 23. 13％ in 12-year-old. And the DMFT was 0. 10, 0. 22, and 0.43 respectively. There was no significant difference between permanent tooth caries prevalence rate and DMFT in sexual distinction of schoolchildren in Chancheng district of Foshan city schoolchild in 2010, while there was significant difference in age. Conclusion It was important to strengthen the education of the oral hygiene knowledge, decrease the permanent tooth caries prevalence rate and increase the caries filling rate.关键词
