Bioinformatics Analysis on the Molecular Sequence of B-gahctosiae α-2,3-sialyltransferase Family
摘要
Abstract
Objective To compare the homology in homo sapiens alpha-2,3-sialyltransferase family and study the patterns of its revolution and its functional correlation. Methods Homology and domain analysis of nucleic acid and protein sequences of beta-galactoside alpha2,3-sialyltransferase family was conducted by using online data base and bioinformatics software,and phylogenetic tree was constructed. Results The primary and secondary structures of alpha-2,3-sialyltransferase family showed high homology. The phylogenetic analysis showed that they were derived from a common ancestor but diverged at different times. Conclusion All members of alpha-2,3-sialyltransferase come from the same family of a common ancestor, and their evolution was in a divergent pattem. The substrate specificity of the family subunits may be related to the glycosylation sites.关键词
