摘要

Abstract

For an EHV double circuit transmission lines with one or two terminal shunt reactors, the characteristics of the measured voltage and calculated voltage on shunt reactor of faulted phase and the voltage on the neutral point reactor are analyzed. A new principle which uses the amplitude ratio of the difference of calculated and measured voltage on faulted phase shunt reactor to the voltage on neutral point reactor is proposed to distinguish the transient fault from the permanent fault. Using EMTP, the voltage characteristic of shunt reactor on faulted phase is simulated for the transient fault and the permanent fault. Simulation results show that the proposed method can identify the nature of the fault, and has a high sensitivity. The new approach can be used to achieve adaptive reclosure on double circuit transmission line reliably.
