TRB3 Mediates Homocysteine-induced Inhibition of Endothelial Cells Proliferation

Abstract
Objective To investigate the effect of TRB3 on homocysteine-induced inhibition of endothelial cells proliferation. Methods DNA synthesis in cells was determined by using [3H]-thymidine incorporation.The expression of tested genes was detected by real-time PCR. The phosphorylation of proteins was measured by Westren blotting. Results (1) Homocysteine inhibited the proliferation of human umbilical vein endothelial cells (HUVECs). (2) Homocysteine induced endoplasmic reticulum stress, and up-regulated the expression of CHOP and ATF4. (3) Homocysteine up-regulated the expression of TRB3, resulting in dephosphorylation of Akt. Conclusion TRB3 is a critical molecule in homocysteine-mediated inhibition of proliferation in HUVECs.关键词
