Abstract

This article introduced the development of X80 and X100 pipeline steel pipe,especially introduced the high strength and large diameter SAWH pipe mill and the pipe manufacture process improvement for X80 steel pipe, including the development of high strength and high toughness welding material for high speed welding, which made the welding speed up to 1.75 m/min for X80 Φ1 219 mm × 18.4 mm SAWH pipe used for the Second West to East Gas Pipeline Project. The performance variation and structure feature after welding thermal cycle for X80 pipeline steel was studied,and reasonable welding heat input was put forward. It also introduced the product performance of X80 Φ1 219 mm × 18.4 mm SAWH pipe and X100 Φ1 219 mm × 15.3 mm SAWH pipe. Adopting X80 pipeline steel and self-developed welding material to successfully manufacture X80 Φl 219 mm × 18.4mm SAWH pipe and Φ1 219 mm ×22 mm SAWL pipe. At present, the produced quantity of X80 SAWH pipe and SAWL pipe was over 1 000 000 tons,which was supplied for the Second West to East Gas Pipeline Project,and the X1O0 Φ1 219 mm ×15.3 mm SAWH pipe had been conducted trial production on the SAWH pipe mill.
