Abstract
Objective To approach the effect of cervical spine fracture and dislocation treated by pedicle screw-rod system.Methods A retrospective review was made in 38 cervical fractures.With preoperative traction, all patients were treated by cervical anterior and posterior open reduction, autogenous iliac bone graft , and cervical spine locking plate fixation.All the cases were evaluated according to Frankel criteria of the neurol function preoperatively, and 12 months after operation.Results 38 cases were followed up, and the average period of follow-up was 12 ～ 34 months.No deterioration of neurological injury or operation associated complication was ohserved.According to Frankel grading system, among the 38 patients with cervical fracture.11 at Grade B were improved to Grade C in 9 and D in 1, and 1 got no improvement; 18 at Grade C were improved at Grade D in 15 and at Grade E in 3; 9 at Grade D were restored to E in 9.Conclusions The effect of pedicle screw-rod system for treatment of cervical spine fracture and dislocation is satisfactory.关键词
