Comparison of clinical effects of different fixations on femoral intertrochanteric fracture in elderly patients

Abstract
Objective To evaluated the efficacy of dynamic hip screw( DHS ) , Gamma nail and proximal femoral nail anti-rotation( PFNA )for senile intertrochanteric fracture ( ITF ).Methods 162 patients with ITF were treated with DHS, Gamma nail and PFNA.The operative time, operation complications, bleeding volume and therapeutic efficacy were analyzed retrospectively among three groups.Results 162 cases were all followed up for 1 ～ 2 years.There were statistical difference in the mean operation time and intraoperative blood loss( P ＜ 0.05 ).The postoperative blood loss within 3 days of the PFNA group was less than that in the DHS group.The overall incidence of DHS group was highest than the other groups within 18 months( P ＜ 0.05 );There were statistical difference in therapeutic effect( P ＞ 0.05 ).Conclusions Compared with DHS and Gamma nail,the PFNA could be a reasonable choice for unstahle and aged intertrochanteric fracture because of less operative time and blood loss, lower postoperative complications and more stable fixation.关键词
