A New Record of Entomophthora in China
摘要
Abstract
[ Objective ] The aim was to identify an entomopathogenic fungus what infected Musca domestica in Guangdong Province of China.[ Method] The shapes of Entomophthoraferdinandi were observed based on aceto-orcein staining,moreover,the diameter of conidia and its nuclei were measured and photographed. [ Result] Entomophthoraferdinandi infected adults fixed to upper parts of plants with proboscis and clasped legs and heads were all upward, moreover, wings were spread along latero-dorsally. Primary conidia of this fungus were on average ( 24.1 ± 2.0) μm × ( 19.8 ±1.5 ) μm and contained ( 10. 2 ±1.4 ) nuclei ( range： 8 - 12 ) on average with the average diameter of (3.3 - 0.7 ) μm. This fungus was identified as E. ferdinandi Keller. [ Conclusion] This was the first record of E. ferdinandi in Asia and China.关键词
