摘要
Abstract
Objective To investigate the relationship between nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) and metabolic syndrome (MS) in the elderly people. Methods 313 elderly people (male 224, female 89, mean age 76.08±7.53 years) from 405 elderly people who underwent health check were retrospectively studied. The levels of height, weight, waistline, body mass index (BMI), fasting blood glucose, cholesterol, triglyceride, high-density lipoprotein and doppler image were assessed and analyzed, respectively. Results The prevalence of MS in elderly men and women was 14.3 % and 20.2 % . The incidence of NAFLD in men and women was 40.2 % and 36.0%. The common manifestation of MS was obesity plus hypertension plus dyslipidemia, which ratio was over 40%. The proportion of NAFLD was 100% in the type which included obesity, hypertension, dyslipidemia, high plasma glucose. Patients with stroke, diabetes mellitus, hypertension were more in the NAFLD patients. The fasting blood glucose, triglyceride, BMI, waistline of the NAFLD group were higher than the no-NAFLD group, but the serum cholesterol had no obvious difference between the two groups .NAFLD was positively related with MS ( r=0.374, P<0.01 ). Conclusion The prevalence of MS and NAFLD is higher in the elder people. NAFLD is a part of MS, which needs interventional treatment early.关键词
