Abstract
Objective To understand the status of self-efficacy, anxiety and depression among functional constipation (FC) patients and to explore the relationship between them. Methods Self-Rated Abilities for Health Practices Scale (SR AHP),Zung's SelfRating Anxiety Scale (SAS) and Zung's Self-Rating Depressive Scale (SDS) were applied among 102 FC outpatients. Results The total score of self-efficacy was 62.13 ±16.68; 73.5％ (75/102) of the patients had medium level of self-efficacy, 14.7％ (15/102) low level, whereas only 11.8％ (12/102) manifested high level of self-efficacy. The scores of SAS and SDS were significantly higher in FC patients than those in Chinese norm(40.6±8.9 vs 37.2±12.6, 50.5±9.2 vs 41.9±11.6,P＜0.01) and the total score of self-efficacy was negatively related to the scores of SAS and SDS (r=-0.343, -0.388, P＜0.01). Conclusion There are close relationship among anxiety, depression and self-efficacy of FC patients. Self-efficacy should be emphasized in nursing to improve FC patients' psychological state.关键词
