Survey on KAP and Need of Reproductive Health Care for Females in Zhuguang Community of Guangzhou

Abstract
Objective To understand knowledge, attitude and practice (KAP) and need of reproductive health care for females in the community. Methods A self-designed questionnaire was applied among 1100 women aged 20～59 years old with stratified random sampling. Results (1) 52.73％ of the females were interested in health care and 80.45％ thought it was necessary to get more knowledge about it. (2) Only 37.18％ of women had a self breast examination but still lacked related knowledge of it. (3) Females were with inadequate knowledge about intercourse and postmenopausal bleeding, cancer screening was in imperative demand for women in future health care service. (4) Only 45.27％ of the females tmned to community center of gynecological service, which indieated that the utilization of community center of gynecological service should be further improved. Conclusion The knowledge and awareness of female health care should be continuously improved and strengthened. Routine physical checkup, especially cancer screening should be attached great importance.关键词
