摘要

Abstract

Porous alumina ceramics were fabricated by freezing casting process using ice as porecreating template. The microstructures of the samples were observed by SEM, the porosity and the compressive strength were also investigated. The results indicate that the porosity can be changed from 24% to 85% by controlling the process parameters, and SEM image presents cellular structure. The porosity is decreasing and the compressive strength is increasing with increasing the slurry concentration. The compressive strength is increasing with increasing the sintering temperature gradually. When the porosity is 85 %, the compressive strength is 21 MPa.
