Expressions of TIMP-1 in Hazak's esophageal cancer and it's significance

Abstract
Objective To study the expressions of TIMP-1 in Hazak's esophageal cancer tissues and investigate the relationship between their expressions and the clinical pathological features. Methods The mRNA expression levels of TIMP-1 in 48 Hazak's esophageal cancer specimens were investigated by RT-PCR. The relationship between clinical pathologic features and expressions of TIMP-1 mRNA level was analyzed. Western blot was used to detect the expressions of TIMP-1 protein in 20 samples. Results The expression of TIMP-1 mRNA in cancer tissues was significantly higher than that of normal tissues ( P ＜0.05), and there were significant differences about the expressions of TIMP-1 in the clinical early stage specimens(P＜0.05). The expressions of TIMP-1 protein and mRNA were identical basically. There were no significances of TIMP-1 expressions in differentiated degree, invasive depth and lymph node metastasis. Conclusions The expressions of TIMP-1 may play an important role in early stage of Hazak' s esophageal cancer.关键词
