Coarse Timing Synchronization for OFDM Based on Cooperation of Distributed Antennas

Abstract
In frequency-selective fading channels, two distributed receive antennas are assumed for receiving the signal transmitted from the transmitter with a single antenna.By using the cooperation between the two distributed receive antennas, a cooperative coarse timing synchronization method is proposed.Without increasing the pre-defined false alarm probability for each distributed receive antenna, some of missed detection can be avoided with the cooperation of the two distributed receive antennas.By the analysis and simulations, it is shown that the missed detection and correct detection of coarse timing synchronization in OFDM system can be improved by employing the proposed method.关键词
