摘要
Abstract
Objective To explore the clinical significance of atypical squamous cells of undetermined significance ( ASCUS ) in cervical lesions. Methods The data on the patients who had received Pap smear in our hospital from January 2009 to December 2010 were retrospectively analyzed. Results Of All the patients, 86 were diagnosed as ASCUS. With the findings of vaginoscopy, pathological examination, and HPV detection, 45 patients ( 52.3% ) were diagnosed as chronic cervicitis, 41 (47.7% ) as cervical intraepithelial neoplasia ( CIN ), and 49 ( 57.0% ) as HPV positive. Of the 49 HPV positive patients, 16 were diagnosed as CIN Ⅱ and above, 2( 4.1% )as cervical cancer. There were no CIN Ⅱ and above or malignant tumors in HPV negative patients. Conclusions It is beneficial for managing the patients based on the clinical diagnosis combined with the findings of vaginoscopy, pathological examination, and HPV detection.关键词
