Abstract

Since there is no systematic experimental study for NMR response of carbonate rock,so it has not been properly applied to some complex reservoirs. Based on a great quantity of NMR core experiments and the pore structure characteristics, analyzed is the effectiveness of reservoir.Experimental studies show that: the Te is shorter, the T2 spectrum information is more complete and integrity. The long waiting time measurement needs to have sufficient waiting time in the development of large size pore reservoirs when using differential spectrum methods to discriminate fluid property. Relaxation time is long for fracture and cavity. Because fracture porosity is generally smaller, the fracture relaxation signal amplitude is also smaller. The T2 spectrum of core with cavity has obviously many long relaxation component signals. In certain grain sizes, the result of NMR small core experiments is in common with the result of NMR core experiments. The model Coates coefficient C value is linearly related to the porosity. T2,cutoff value, which is not a fixed value for carbonate rocks, is inversely proportional to clay content. The precision of porosity and permeability computing by NMR in higher-porosity rock is significantly higher than in lower-porosity. NMR permeability mainly reflects matrix permeability, but can not effectively reflect fracture permeability.
