Abstract
Objective To study the clinical effect of Busheng Zhuanggu formula and salmon calcitonin on elderly osteoporosis.Methods One hundred cases of elderly with osteoporosis were randomly divided into trial group and control group.Patients in control group were treated with calcitonin and calcium supplement with Vitamine-D Chewable Tablets, and patients in trial group were treated with Busheng Zhuanggu formula and salmon calcitonin additionally.The bone mineral density (BMD) and BGP, TRAP,HYP of two groups before and after treatment were observed.Results In treatment group and in control group, BMD of lumber vertebrae (L2-4) and neck of femur increased significantly after three month treatment compared with control group (P ＞0.05), but no significant change in the region of Wards.The remission rate of osteodynia was 98.60％ in trial group and 71.42％ in control groups (P＜0.05).The level of serum BGP increased in trial group and the ratio of urinary HYP/Cr decreased, with significant difference between the two groups (P ＜0.05).Conclusion The combining treatment of salmon calcitonin and Busheng Zhuanggu formula on elderly osteoporosis can relieve the osteodynia and increase bone mass.关键词
