Abstract
Objective To investigate the Yes-associated protein( YAP ) expression in urothelial tumors of the bladder and its relationship with P53 protein expression. Methods The histological morphology of 68 cases of urothelial tumors of the bladder was reviewed according to the WHO/ISUP Classification( 2004 ). The expression of YAP in 68 specimens of urothelial tumors of the hladder and 20 specimens of non-specific inflammation tissue was detected by imruunohistochemistry. Results Positive rate of YAP was 86. 8％ in 68 urothelial tumors of the bladder, while no expression of YAP was detected in non-specific inflammation hladder tissues. YAP expression was significantly different between two groups( P＜0. 05 ). YAP expression was correlated with gross tumor volume( X2 = 6. 22 ,P ＜0. 05 ).but not with the age , sex and histology grading( P ＞0. 05 ). The expression rate of P53 protein was 33. 8o-/o ( 23/68 )in 68 cases of urothelial tumors of the hladder. Statistical analysis showed a correlation hetween YAP and p53( r = 0. 262 .P <0. 05 ). Conclusion YAP expression can be detected in the majority of urothelial tumors of the bladder.and its expression may be closely related with tumor growth.关键词
