Abstract
Objective To investigate causes of postmenopausal vaginal bleeding so as to improve people's understanding for postmenopausal vaginal bleeding. Methods Causes of 260 cases of postmenopausal vaginal bleeding in recent three years were analyzed retrospectively.Results Among 260 cases, the first cause of postmenopausal vaginal bleeding was gynecological malignancy (87 cases, 33.46％ ). Of gynecologic malignant tumors, cause of 54 cases was cervical cancer, cause of 22 cases was endometrial carcinoma. The second cause was vaginitis (51 cases , 19.61％ ). The cause of 46 cases (17.69％) was dysfunctional uterine bleeding (DUB). The prevalence of endometrial cancer was higher among senile women than that in women aged under 60 years( 11.84％ vs 3.70％, X2 =5.21, P ＜0.05).The longer the duration of menopause, the higher the incidence of endometrial cancer ( trendx2 = 9.35, P ＜ 0.05 ). Conclusion For those postmenopausal women who have vaginal bleeding, exfoliated cells, transvaginal color doppler ultrasonography, fractional diagnostic curettage of uterus should be performed on in orer to diagnoze and treat the disease early.关键词
