补肾活血饮治疗原发性帕金森病的疗效观察
Clinical effect of "BUSHEN HUOXUE YIN" on patients with Parkinson's disease

Abstract
Objective To investigate the clinical effect of "BUSHEN HUOXUE YIN" (BHY, a Chinese traditional medicine)combined with western medicine on patients with Parkinson's disease (PD) . Methods One hundred PD patients were enrolled in the randomized control trial (RCT). The patients were randomly divided into two groups (50 each) : treatment group (BHY and western medicine, peros) and control group (western medicine only, peros) . At the end of the 3rd month, 47 patients in treated group and 44 patients in control group completed the trials, as 5 patients were excluded and 4 patients lost follow-up. The Unified Parkinson's Disease Rating Scale (UPDRS) scoring and the Hoehn & Yahr stage ( H-Y) were compared before and after treatment to evaluate the improvement of motor function and clinical efficacy. Results The effective power was significantly higher in treatment group (44.68％) than in control group (11.36％, P＜0.05). The total UPDRS score decreased significantly in treatment group than in control group at any time point after treatment (P＜0.05) . In treatment group, post-treatment UPDRS Ⅱ score decreased significantly at each time point compared with that of prior treatment; in control group, UPDRS Ⅱ score showed significant difference only after one-month of treatment compared with that before treatment (P＜0.05) . Compared with control group, UPDRS Ⅱ score in treatment group decreased significantly two and three months after treatment (P＜0.05) . In treatment group, post-treatment UPDRS Ⅲ score at each time point decreased significantly compared with that prior to treatment, while in control group, UPDRS Ⅲ score showed significant difference one month and three months after treatment compared with that before treatment ( P＜0.05). No significant difference was found in UPDRS Ⅲ score or H-Y between the two groups ( P＞0.05) . Conclusion BHY has an obvious therapeutic effect on PD patients. BHY combined with western medicine can improve motor function and daily living activity in PD patients better than western medicine only.关键词
