Experimental Study on Eccentrically Compressed Cross-Shaped Steel Reinforced Concrete Columns

Abstract
A new type solid-web steel reinforced concrete special-shaped columns have been designed. In order to get the failure mechanism and capacity of solid-web steel reinforced concrete special-shaped column, testing studies of 12 specimens are made to investigate the bearing capacity, the failure pracess and modes. The failure characteristics, mechanical behaviors of the eccentrically compressed steel reinforced concrete special-shaped columns such as the loading-displacement and skeleton curves, load bearing capacity, displacement ductility are analyzed. Through the experiments, we can know the damage features of steel reinforced concrete special-shaped columns and the effect on steel ratio carrying capacity and ductility. It is concluded that, steel reinforced concrete special-shaped columns have high load bearing capacity and excellent ductility, the new type solid-web steel reinforced concrete special-shaped column can be used in engineering projects widely.关键词
