Abstract
OBJECTIVE: To establish standard operating procedure (SOP) on intervention of the rational use of Chinese patent medicines containing toxic components in orthopaedics department. METHODS: Many methods of intervention were used, which included drawing up principle, propaganda and education, interception of pharmacy, prescription evaluation, supervision and punishment, and ADE monitoring. Data process was conducted before and after intervention by SPSS 13.0 software. RESULTS: After intervention, the rate of irrational use was decreased from 13.05％ to 1.20％, and the number of drug use in excess of indication,medication duration more than 14 days, writing out big prescriptions and repeated drug use reduced from 18, 7, 93, 233 to 8, 1,7, 15. CONCLUSION: SOP promotes rational use of Chinese patent medicines containing toxic components in orthopaedics department.关键词
