摘要

Abstract

Wind energy is a kind of clean renewable energy resource, but its disadvantage is that wind power generation is intermittent, depending on the weather conditions.The use of energy storage device is an effective way to smooth the output power as the wind speed varies.This paper introduces a supercapacitor storage system paralleling to the AC bus through a bi-directional BUCK-BOOST converter in series with a three-phase PWM inverter.A control strategy combining maximum power tracking controlunit power factor control and super-capacitor energy storage control is analyzed and designed.A simulation model under Matlab/Simulink is also constructed to demonstrate the effectiveness of the control strategy and the power fluctuations smoothing by regulating the super-capacitor storage device.
