摘要

Abstract

By means of seger-cone, flat flowing, scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and energy dispersive spectrum ( EDS), three-point bending and Rockwell hardness test, this research discussed the effect of Ti on R2O-B2O3-Al2O3-SiO2 vitrified bond and that on the properties of vitrified bond diamond grinding tool.The results showed that, with the addition of the element of Ti the glass fusion temperature of the vitrified bond was reduced, and the coefficient of linear expansion increased as the element of Ti increasing.For the vitrified bond diamond grinding tool, Ti additive could reduce the porosity, increase the density and improve the wettability of the bond to the diamonds.When sintered at 780 ℃ and by adding 15% Ti, the bending of diamond grinding tool got the maximum value of 49.86 MPa, and the hardness of the diamond grinding tool was up to 76.27 HRB, which means an increase of 41.2% and 44.92% respectively compared with no-Ti vitrified bond diamond grinding tool.
