Abstract
Objective To explore the relationship between body mass index( BMI), insulin sensitivity and the incidence of fatty liver in simple obesity child.Methods 126 children age from 2 to 14 with simple obesity and 30 health - y controls with age and sex matched were collected and divided into five groups.Body mass index, free blood glucose (FBG) ,free insulin(FINS) and ultrasonography of liver were monitored.The ratio of fasting glucose/insulin(G/I ratio), homeostasis assessment model for insulin resistance(HOMA-IR) and homeostasis assessment model for insulin secretion (HOMA-IS) were calculated.Results There was no significant difference in FBG and G/I ratio between obesity and those in control( P ＞ 0.05 ).However, FINS, HOMA-IR and HOMA-IS in obesity were significant higher than those in control (P ＜ 0.05 ).Ultrasonography of liver showed that there 16 children with fatty liver in obsity, and there were no one with fatty liver in control, and the incidence of fatty liver in obesity was 12.75％.There was significant difference between two groups ( P ＜ 0.01 ).Conclusion BMI is closely related to insulin sensitivity and the incidence of fatty liver in obesity child.It needs of long follow-up and early intervention for obese children.关键词
