Expressions of VEGF in blood of patients with non muscle-invasive bladder carcinoma undergoing intravesical instillation of epirubicin
摘要
Abstract
Objective To investigate the expressions ofVEGF in blood of the patients with non muscle- invasive bladder carcinoma under going intravesical instillation of epirubicin. Methods The expression of vascular endothelium growth factor (VEGF) was detected by PAP ELISA method in 46 cases of non muscle-invasive bladder carcinoma and 23 normal subjects as controls. The patients underwent intravesical instillation of epirubicin and their serum VEGF levels were measured before and 6 weeks after treatment. Results Serum VEGF levels in patient group was higher than that in control group; VEGF levels were decreased after 6 weeks oftreatment, but still higher than those of normal controls. Conclusion The study indicates that VEGF is associated with the non muscle- invasive bladder carcinoma, which may be used as a biomarker of this disease.关键词
