Antibiotic-resistance and Distribution of Nosocomial Infection Pathogens among Children Patients in Shenzhen Children's Hospital

Abstract
Objective: To understand the main pathogens of nosocomial infection and analyze its distribution as well as its drug resistance, then to find an effective way to deal with such pathogens. Methods: Made a retrospective investigation on the clinical data of hospitalized patients who stayed in Shenzhen Children's Hospital during January to December 2010. Results: It appeared 3,629 cases, among which there were 2,493 Gram-negative strains (took up 68.7% ), while Gram-positive were 1,136 strains ( took up 31.3% ). The main pathogens were Klebsiella pnenmoniae (22.7%), Escherichia coli (20.4%), and Acinetobacter banmanii (10.7%) among gram negative bacteria. The ESBLs-prodncing rates of Escherichia coli and Klebsiella pnenmoniae were 51.7% and 41.3% while MRSA in gram positive coccus was 15.5%. Gram-negative pathogens showed high rates of chug-sensitivity on carbapenem and enzyme inhibitors, and gram-positive pathogens showed 93.5% drug resistance to penicillin. No resistant strains to carbapenem, rifampin, ansamycins, fosfomycin and glycopeptides were detected. Conclusions: The main infection in ous hospital was lower respiratory tract ones, carbapenem and vancomycin remain highly active against Enterobacteriaceae and Staphylococci which were the main pathogens in our hospital.关键词
