Parametric Study of the Steel Spring Floating Slab Track

Abstract
The parameter variations of the steel spring floating slab track (SSFST) have the influence on its dynamic characteristics.Five parameters including the length and the thickness of the roadbed slab, the stiffness of the steel springs, the bearing spacing and the stiffness of the fasteners as well as different level values for each of the parameters were chosen to carry out the orthogonal test, and then three-dimensional finite element models for SSFST were constructed.The dynamic characteristics of SSFST were studied by modal analysis method.The eigenfrequencies and vibration mode shapes of SSFST were obtained.Furthermore, the transmission ratios for SSFST were analyzed.Analysis results show that the spacing and stiffness of the steel springs and the thickness of the slab mainly play the dominant role in lower eigenfrequencies of SSFST.However, the main influencing parameter is the length of the slab in higher eigenfrequencies.The vibration of the slab dominates in all mode shapes of SSFST, whatever the parameters are.The maximum peak value of the transmission ratio appears at the basic frequency and increases with the length of the slab.关键词
