Abstract
Objective: To explore the relationship between adult attachment type and work stress, job burnout in counsellors. Methods: 322 counselors finished the Relationship Questionnaire, the College Working Stress Scale and the Chinese version of MBI-ES. Results: In the total subjects, 62.1％ were secure attachment type, 17.7％ were dismissing attachment type, 14.0 ％ were preoccupied attachment type, 6.2 ％ were fearful attachment type. The secure group had significantly lower work stress and job burnout scores than the non-secure groups, and there were no significant differences among the three non-secure attachment (dismissing, preoccupied and fearful) subjects. Conclusion: Counsellor's level of work stress and job burnout was significantly affected by their attachment types.关键词
