摘要
Abstract
Objective To investigate the expression of COX-2 and TNF-α in colonic mucosa of patients with ulcerative colitis( UC )and its relationship with UC severity. Methods The expression of COX-2 and TNF-α was examined by immunohistochemical staining in colonic mucosa from 38 cases of active UC and 10 normal controls. Results The expression of COX-2 and TNF-α was significantly higher in UC tissues than that in normal controls( P ＜ 0.05 ). And the expression of COX-2 and TNF-α was related to active grade and endoscopic classification( P ＜ 0.05 ). There was a positive correlation between COX-2 expression and TNF-α expression( r = 0. 831, P ＜0.05 ). Conclusion The expression of COX-2 and TNF-α may be involved in the pathogenesis of UC, and their levels could reflect the disease activity in UC.关键词
