Abstract
Objective To analyze the prevalence and influencing factors of osteoporosis among mid - aged and elderly community residents in Hefei, An'hui Province. Methods Bone mineral density test and epidemiological survey were performed among mid - aged and elderly community residents randomly selected from an urban community in Hefei, Anhui Province. Results Among 820 subjects, the average speed of sound ( SOS ) of calcaneus was significantly higher in the males ( 1 496. 5 ±28. 5 m/s ) than in the females ( 1 490. 8 ±28. 0 m/s, t = 2. 39, P ＜ 0. 05 ). The prevalence of osteoporosis was significantly higher in females than in the males ( 18. 88％ vs. 2. 79％ , x2 =27. 8326 , P = 0. 000 ). Logistic multivariate regression analysis showed that gender, age, body mass index, weekly exercise frequency, milk intake, and sedentary hours per day were the main influcning factors of osteoporosis. Conclusion Gender ( female ), age ( elderly ), lack of physical exercise, lower body mass index, reduced milk intake, and sedentary are the risk factors of osteoporosis among mid - aged and elderly community residents , among which physical exercise , rest time , and body mass index are controllable factors.关键词
