Abstract
Objective: To study MRI features of central neurocytoma (CNC).Methods : MRI findings in 10 cases with pathologi cally proved central neurocytoma were retrospectively analyzed.There were 7 cases examined by plain and enhancement,2 cases by enhancement only,1 case by non-cnhancement MRI.Results: The masses were located in the body of bilateral ventriclcs in 3cases, the right body of lateral ventricle in 4 cases, the left lateral ventricle in 1 case,the fourth ventricle and right cerebellar hemisphere and the vermis cerebellar in 1 case, respectively.There were 3 of 8 cases with lateral vcntricle mass invaded into frontal lobes: 3 masses showed iso- and hypo-intensity signal, 3 heterogeneous mixed signal, 2 hypo-intensity on T1 WI; 5 cases showed iso- and hyper-intensity signal, 2 cascs hctcrogeneous signal, 1 case hyper-intensity on T2 WI.On DWI, 2 cases showed high signal,1 case low signal.The masses of 3 cases showed mild inhomogeneous enhancement, 3 cases moderate inhomogeneous enhancement, 3 cases mild and moderate homogeneous enhancement, and 1 case with no enhancement; 2 cases with non-lateral ventricle CNC were misdiagnosis as other tumors preoperatively.Conclusion : Central neurocytoma in the latral ventricle has some characteristic MRI findings, which may suggest the diagnosis preoperatively.Diagnosis of non-lateral ventricle central neurocytoma depends on pathological examination post-operatively.关键词
