摘要

Abstract

Separation of mesitylene from C9 arene was carried out by extractive distillation method and Aspen Plus software was employed to simulate the extractive distillation tower. Effects of reflux ratio and solvent ratio on the mesitylene separation were investigated. Under the extractive distillation conditions of theoretical plate number 66, reflux ratio 20 - 25 and mass ratio of solvent to feed 8, mole fraction of mesitylene in overhead could reach 98.2% . The simulation results fitted well the experimental data. The mean absolute errors for mole fractions of mesitylene in overhead, bottom and liquid phase within the extractive distillation tower are less than 0. 2%, 0. 8% and 2. 0% ,respectively.It is considered that the established simulation method can be used in simulation calculation of separating mesitylene by extractive distillation.
