Abstract
This paper proposes a novel over-temperature supervising s stem for the HV and MV switch cabinet by carrying the over-temperature signals through C02. In this system, gas storage devices installed on the points likely to be over-temperature will release a certain type gas when the temperature exceeds a set threshold, an alarm signal will be sent out after the gas sensors had detected the changes in the gas concentration. The proposed system is easy installation, reliable and inexpensive, simultaneously, will not introduce the new faulty point in the switch cabinet. This paper also gives the system operation principle and the design of the gas storage device, the gas releasing mechanism and the gas detection device. The correctness, effectiveness and engineering applicability are verified through the results of the lab tests and trial operations.关键词
