Abstract
Objective To investigate the ultrastructure of biliary cast after liver transplantation and its correlation with biliary infection. Methods Eleven biliary cast specimens were collected from the patients after liver transplantation during the surgery under sterile conditions. Six specimens were randomly selected to be examined by SEM. Results Six casts showed a variety of forms. There were no bacteria or debris in the biliary casts. Conclusion No bacteria traces in the biliary cast are found out by SEM, biliary infection may be not one of the biliary cast's pathogens.关键词
