Abstract
The incidence of polyspermy is about 1％ in vivo, while polyspermic fertilization occurs in 2％-10％ of oocytes during in vitro fertilization (IVF) treatment. The most common problem is that more than one sperm, two in most cases, successfully penetrate and fertilize an oocyte. Many factors have been found to be involved in human polyspermic fertilization in vitro. This article is to briefly review the possible causes and mechanism of human polyspermy in IVF treatment, hopefully helping to understand the appropriate countermeasures in medical practice.关键词
