摘要
Abstract
Objective To investigate the renoprotective effects of benazepril hydrochloride and its possible mechanisms. Methods 30 Sprague-Dawley( SD )rats were assigned to normal control( group NC,n = 8 )and model group.Streptozotoin( STZ )-induced diabetic model rats were then treated with( group DM )or without benazepril( group DT ). Peripheral blood glucose was tested weekly in all groups. At the end of the 4th week.blood glucose, HbAlc,urinary insulin-like growth factor-l( IGF-1 ), urinary albumin, and urinary retinol-binding protein were tested. The renal tissues of diabetic rats were obtained after the rats sacrificed to observe the structure changes under electron microscope and IGF-1 expression was observed by immunohistochemistry. Results At the end of the 4th week.compared with those in group NC, all indexes measured above and the relative kidney index were markedly increased in group DM ( P < 0. 01 ). The renal pathological lesions of rats in group DM were obvious. Benazepril treatment could significantly decrease the above parameters( P<0. 01 )and lessen the renal pathological lesions in comparison with those in group DM except for the blood glucose and HbAlc. Conclusion Benazepril exerts renoprotective effect via inhibiting the overexpressed IGF-1 in local kidney of diabetic rats.关键词
