Initial clinical use and development of the neotype optical dilator
摘要
Abstract
[ Objective ] To develop an neotype optical dilator, a transparent bougie fitted over a superfine gastroscopy and with sequential dilating segments. This device was used in treating esophageal strictures to enhance the safety and efficacy. [ Methods ] Twenty-four patients including esophageal carcinomas and stoma strictures were dilated. Before dilation most patients reported difficulties with solids. [ Results ] All dilations succeeded in one time without any complications, patient-tolerance increased and operating-time decreased. The dysphagia score increased one week hter. [ Conclusion ] The optical dilator allows sequential dilation under direct visualization, and is a safer and more effective dilator.关键词
