Abstract
Objective To study the expression of Ki-67, P53 and YB-1 in breast cancer tissue and its clinical significance. Methods Immunohistochemistry was used to detect expression of YB-1 in tissues from 180 breast cancer patients admitted to Chinese PLA General Hospital from January 2000 to December 2004. Immunohistochemistry staining of Ki-67 and P53 from these patients was retrospectively collected. Correlation between expression of YB-1, Ki-67, P53 and clinical pathological.features of the patients was analyzed. Results The expression rate of Ki-67, P53 and YB-1 in tissue from breast cancer patients was 73.9%, 35.0% and 38.3%, respectively. The expression of Ki-67 was positively correlated with the lymph node metastasis, degree of differentiation, vascular invasion, Her-2 and negatively correlated with the ER and PR(P<0.05). The expression of P53 was positively correlated with the degree of differentiation and Her-2(P<0.05). The expression of YB-1 was positively correlated with Her-2 and negatively correlated with the ER and PR(P<0.05). A positive correlation was observed between the expressions of Ki-67, P53 and YB-1. Conclusion Expression of Ki-67, P53 and YB-1 in breast cancer tissue is correlated with the poor pathological features of such patients and can thus be regarded as an important prognostic indicator of breast cancer patients.关键词
