Abstract
Objective To study the effect of indomethacin in inhibiting the invasiveness of glioma cell lines in vitro. Methods First MTT assay was used to determine the non-cytotoxic dose range of indomethacin. Then migration assay andmatrigel invasion assay for 24 h exposure to indomethacin were employed to assess the inhibitory effect of indomethacin. Reesults Indomethacin did not affect cell migration; however, the number of invasive glioma cells through the matrigel was decreased significantly in a dose-dependent manner (P＜0.05). Conclusion Indomethacin can obviously inhibit the invasiveness of glioma cell in vitro. It may offer a new therapeutic strategy for gliomas.关键词
