摘要

Abstract

The particle size and the distribution of carboxyl-containing polysiloxane (CAS) emulsion with transparent appearance were measured by transmission electron microscope (TEM), nano particle size analyzer and Zeta potentiometric analyzer.The results showed that the average particle size of CAS emulsion was 32.56 nm,while the ξ voltage is -28.35 mV.Taking the cotton fabric as the film forming substrate, CAS emulsion was anchored on the substrate suriace to form film.The morphology, surface property and application of CAS emulsion film on cotton fabrics were studied by scanning electron microscope (SEM), contact angle measurement and computer controlled softness instrument.The results indicated that CAS emulsion had good form-film property.The CAS emulsion could form an even, smooth and homogeneous film on the cotton fabric surface, with 60.25° of contact angle.Compared to untreated cotton fabric, the softness of treated fabric was obviously improved, while the hydrophilicity and whiteness were decreased.At the same time, the fabric treated with CAS emulsion acquired unique oily and soft handle.
