Content Determination of Lead and Cadmium in Amoxicillin Capsules by Graphite Furnace Atomic Absorption Spectrometry

Abstract
OBJECTIVE: To establish method for the content determination of trace lead and cadmium in Amoxicillin capsules.METHODS: Graphite furnace atomic absorption spectrometry (GFAAS) was adopted. The determination wavelength was set at 283.3 nm for lead, 228.8 nm for cadmium. The lamp current was 2.0 mA and the slit-width was 0.4 nm. RESULTS: The linear range of was 0~10.0 ng·mL-1 for lead and 0~0.5 ng·mL-1 for cadmium. The average recoveries were 98.0% (RSD=1.0%, n=9) and 97.8% (RSD=0.99%, n=9), respectively. CONCLUSION: GFAAS is accurate, simple and sensitive for content determination of lead and cadmium in Amoxicillin capsules.关键词
