Abstract
Objective Combining with patients's lipid levels, to evaluate carotid artery atherosclerosis (CAS) in patients with rheumatioid arthritis by ultrasonography.Methods The carotidarteries were assessed by ultrasonography in 16 RA patients with high lipid levels (RA1 group) , 23 RA patients with nomal lipid levels (RA2 group) and 20 healthy volunteers (normal control group).IMT, Dd , PSV, EDV and RI of common carotid arteries were measured by ultrasonography in the three groups.Results IMT of RA1 and RA2 patients were thicker than that of healthy volunteers.IMT of RA1 groups were thicker than RA2 groups.Dd was higher in RA patients than that of healthy volunteers.There was no significant difference in PSV, EDV, and RI among the three groups (P ＞ 0.05).Conclusions Eaerly sign of carotid atherosclerosis (increased IMT and Dd) is more frequently detected in RA, and it was correlated with lipid levels.Arteriosclerotic examine technique by ultrasonograph can provide an early, simple, noninvasive way for vasculopathy testing.关键词
