Expression and clinical significance of IL-10 and TGF-β1 in non-small cell lung cancer

Abstract
Objective To investigate the expression of IL-10 and TGF-β1 in non-small cell lung cancer ( NSCLC) ,and to detect the relationships between their expression with the clinicopathological variables and postoperative survival.Methods Immunohistochemical staining for IL-10, TGF-β1 was performed on paraffin embedded tissues from 47 NSCLC cases.The relationships between the expression of IL-10, TGF-β1 with the clinicopathologic data and prognosis of NSCLC were analyzed.Results IL-10 positive expression was detected in the islets in 70.21％ of patients.TGF-β1 positive expression was detected in the stroma in 48.93％ of patients.The IL-10 and TGF-β1 expression were positively correlated with the tumor stage (P ＜ 0.05) , negatively correlated with postoperative prognosis ( P ＜0.05 ) .The expression of IL-10was positively correlated with TGF-β1 in the cancer nests.Conclusions The expression of IL-10 and TGF-β1 in NSCLC is significantly correlated with the clinicopathological variables and the postoperative prognosis of patients.They can be prognostic inclices for NSCLC patients.关键词
