Decay Resistance of Bamboo Oriented Strand Boards Treated with Preservatives

Abstract
The authors investigated how the four different preservatives (Zinc Borate, Ammoniacal Copper Quaternary, Copper Azole and Copper Naphthenate) affected Bamboo Oriented Strand Board (BOSB) decay resistance.BOSB samples were made in the laboratory with phenolformaldehyde and diphenylmethane diisocyanate resins.The results showed that the preservatives,their loading level, and the adhesives had considerable influence on the sample's decay resistance and that BOSB treated with the preservatives could meet the required anti-decay level of the Chinese National Standard GB/T 13942.1-92.关键词
