Abstract
[ Objective ] To retrospectively evaluate the safety and effectiveness of transurethral endoscopic incision in adults with ureterocele. [ Methods ] From January 2003 to July 2009, clinical data of 23 cases with simple ureterocele in adult were retrospectively analyzed. All cases were diagnosed by ultrasound, IVP and cysctoscopy before operation. 24 intravesical ureteroceles were found. one case had bilateral ureteroceles. The diameter of ureteroceles is 1.0～4.0 cm. Transurethral endoscopic surgery was performed in all cases. [Results] In the 23 cases, 24 ureteroceles were performed successfully, including endoscopic incision for 18 and cysts removal for 6. The operation time was 15～45 min (mean 28 min), the blood-lossing was less than 10ml in average, the hospital stay after operation was 2～6 d (mean 3 d). The clinical symptom ameliorated for follow-up 3 to 24 months. Vesico-ureteral reflux was found in 1 cases after operation, but the secondary operation was not needed. [ Conclusion ] Transurethral endoscopic management of simple ureterocele is minimally invasive and efficacious, and can be considered to be the first line treatment for ureterocele in adults.关键词
