Syntheses and adsorption properties of high oil absorbing resin for nitrobenzene

摘要

Abstract

The high oil adsorption resin was synthesized by the suspension polymerization method.The adsorption performance of resin to nitrobenzene and simulating fire-fighting waste water containing nitrobenzene was investigated, and the influential factors, such as the dosage of the resin, nitrobenzene concentration, temperature, and pH on oil adsorption rate were considered.Results indicated that after adsorbing for 5 h, the maximum oil adsorption capacity was about 30.5 g/g.After 10 min, the half of the maximum oil adsorption capacity was reached.When the dosage of resin was 25 g/L, the removal ratio of nitrobenzene was 70%.In addition, the resin was resistant to heat, acid, alkali and high concentration of ions.It could be applied in multiple environments.
