摘要

Abstract

A two-cylinder micromechanical model consisting of single fiber and matrix for fiber-reinforced composites was established.The equations for calculating fiber axial stress and length influence factor of short fiber λ were derived by Lame expression of shear stress in the matrix.The formula for predicting longitudinal elastic modulus of the short-fiber-reinforced composite was obtained based on the length influence factor and the mixing rule.The effect of micro-structure parameters, such as fiber aspect ratio and volume fraction on the longitudinal elastic modulus of the composite was investigated.Furthermore, the predicted longitudinal elastic modulus of the composite were compared with the results calculated by Halpin-Tsai and Darlnigton equations experimental data.Result showed that the obtained foumula was better than exqerimental data.
