Abstract
Objective To explore the clinical effects of xenogenic acellular dermal matrix in preventing and decreasing the incidence rates of Frey's syndrome and facial concave deformity after parotid resection. Methods Total 123 patients with benign parotid tumor were randomly divided into treatment group( n =61 ) and control group( n =62). Xenogenic acellular dermal matrix were transplanted after parotid resection. The incidence rate of Frey's syndrome and satisfaction degree of facial appearance in two groups were evaluated with single blind method. Results The subjective and objective incidence rates of Frey's syndrome in treatment group were 13.1％ and 16.4％ ,while in control group were 41.9％ and 48.4％ ,respectively. The satisfaction degree of facial appearance post-operation were 93.4％ in treatment group and 17.7％ in control group. They were all significant difference between two groups( P ＜ 0.05 ). Conclusion The application of xenogenic acellular dermal matrix could effectively prevent the incidence of Frey's syndrome and facial concave deformity after parotidectomy. The randomized controlled trials with large samples, high quality ,long-term follow-up would be need to verify its long term effectiveness.关键词
